Gingerbread Baby?

So far, I've been relatively successful controlling morning sickness by taking ginger root pills. I told Brendon, though, that by taking so much ginger, we might have a "gingerbread baby", like the character in one of my favorite children's books that I read to my students:


In other news, we told our immediate family our big news! We told my parents by giving them a photo album about grandchildren with my pregnancy test results on the first page. Brendon had the creative idea of telling his parents by creating a geocache with the coordinates of their house. His mom immediately figured out that the geocache was in their neighborhood, and then she decrypted the clue, which read "Grandparents of three- the Windmeyers". Since she only has two grandchildren, she figured out that I'm pregnant with her third grandchild! We told both of our siblings with cards that had ultrasound pictures on the inside. Now we can't wait to start telling others!
