I had a check-up today and got a good report. When the nurse and I listened to the baby's heartbeat, she said, "It sounds like galloping horses!" The baby had a strong heartbeat in the 150 beats per minute range. The doctor said I'm measuring around 17-18 weeks- right where I should be. She scheduled my "big" ultrasound to find out the gender (and to make sure everything else is ok) on October 31- Halloween! When I told her I can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl, she offered to take a sneak peak of the baby on the ultrasound today. I want Brendon to be there with me, though, when we find out, so I told her I'd try to be patient for three more weeks. Let the countdown begin!
