11 Months Old

I can't believe in a month Maggie will be one! The past month has seen a lot of developments:

• Maggie can hear one line from certain songs, and she'll start making motions for the song, like "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Little Bunny Foo Foo", and "Pat-a-Cake".
• If we hand Maggie a spoon with food on it, she'll feed herself.
• Maggie enjoys pretend play, like feeding her baby doll, "talking" on her toy phone, and feeding me her toy food.
• She can follow some directions. When she's holding a brush, I can say, "Maggie, brush your hair", and she'll do it! Not that her hair needs to be brushed very often. :)
• Maggie is getting very fast at pulling up on everything! She's pretty steady on her feet when she's holding on or leaning on something.
• Maggie's communication skills are advancing. She looks at what she wants, picks a toy or book out and hands it to us, and just today she moved my hand to a toy to get me to help her!
  

Maybe I'm biased, but I think she's pretty cute and smart!
