January Update

I've been a very slow blogger in 2012! Instead of blogging, I've been focusing on updating my scrapbooks. Now that that's done, I can get back to blogging.

We started off 2012 by celebrating my birthday on January 1:

At 2 years, 10 months Maggie continues to enjoy spending time with her peers. My mom and I have kept the nursery at church this month. Although Maggie is the only girl in there, she likes to lead the group and direct their play:

She also enjoys seeing her friends at gymnastics, library story time, book store story time, and MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). On Monday we went to lunch with several of our friends from gymnastics. The girls had a blast teasing Mr. Cow at Chick-Fil-A! Maggie has been to the playground there multiple times, but this time she went down the big slide by herself! Toddler peer pressure can be a good thing!

Maggie has gotten extremely picky this month about what she will and won't wear. She will ONLY wear dresses or skirts, but there's only a few of those that she'll wear. I bought her a few really cute shirts after Christmas (they have ballet shoes and wands on them!), but she won't wear them.

She likes having a pony tail now, which is so cute!

This is one of the dresses she'll wear. Thanks, Aunt Barbara!

This is another one of her favorite outfits. Thanks, Sue!

Another change this month is that naps are pretty much a thing of the past for Maggie. Luckily, she will stay in her room and play for an hour or two for "quiet time". She saw this rainbow in her room one day (the sunlight was shining through a snow globe she'd made, which was sitting on her window sill).

Since I posted the last video of Maggie reciting "'Twas the Night Before Christmas", she started saying more of it! Take a look . . .

I only have one cute quote of Maggie's from this past month:

"Fee, fi, fo, fum, I smell a piece of bubblegum!"

Plans are under way for Maggie's 3rd birthday party and for preschool registration for the fall . . . wow, time flies!

I have been waiting for the update. Maggie is precious and a smart little girl. Love her new quote!
