"When Maggie Came Our Way"

We received one of the best gifts today. One of the pastors who baptized Maggie last Sunday wrote a poem in her honor and gave it to us today.

"When Maggie Came Our Way"

Maggie came in the night
From our God of power and might.

Maggie came near the close of the day.
A baby daughter had come our way.

Maggie came in the spring
For us great happiness to bring.

Maggie came in the resurrection season.
God gave her to us for a reason.

Maggie came with the evening dew.
God, all thanks belong to you.

Maggie came to make our family three.
Keep us, Lord, worthy parents be.

Maggie, when you came our way,
Thanks be to God is what we will forever say.

Rev. Hunter has been the interim pastor at our church twice, so he does not know us extremely well, but he was so nice to call and visit us before and after Maggie's birth.

Today at church was "Children's Day", and all of the babies who had been born in our church family in the last year were recognized. Both Maggie and her cousin Zeke were honored. Maggie did really well in church again. She enjoys stretching out on the pew and listening to music!
