Almost August

With only a few hours left in the month of July, click here to see what Maggie's been up to this month.

Maggie continues to amaze us with her vocabulary. A few of her recent words are "gator" (alligator), "tractor", "owl", "'mato" (tomato), "spider", "people", and "animals". Last week she started climbing onto chairs and couches; now she just needs to learn how to get back down! Her fine motor skills are improving, too. She can feed herself with a spoon (although using her fingers is faster!). She also enjoys playing with Mr. Potato Head and can manipulate the small pieces into the holes on the potato. It's so fun to watch her in the bathtub now because she blows bubbles with her mouth, like she was taught in swimming lessons (but she never demonstrated it until now).

The cute things she does and says happen so frequently that it's difficult to document them all in a timely manner on the blog. Something Maggie said today sums up this stage- "Oh boy!" It's an exciting time around our house, as Maggie is amazed by the smallest things.
