It's so hard to believe that in four months, Maggie will be 2! She certainly acts older than her age, though! When looking at books, she can pretty much name every picture. As a speech pathologist, I'm quite proud of the multi-syllabic words she can say spontaneously, which include: elephant, gingerbread man, octopus, alligator, triangle, umbrella, and hamburger. She can consistently identify a few colors, the main one being pink (anyone surprised since she's my daughter?), and shapes (circle and triangle). Her mind is always working . . . for example, the other night at a family meal, she started counting everyone that was sitting around the table. She's also always singing, her favorite song being "ABCs/Twinkle Twinkle". She'll sing, "A, B, C, D, E, F, G, How I wonder what you are!"
Maggie enjoys playing at her sand table, feeding and putting her babies to bed, pretending to go "night night" (she'll ask for a pillow and "blank-a-lin"- her word for "blanket"), playing grocery store (she even swipes her "credit card" in her toy keyboard), and dancing in her tutu while waving her wand saying, "Abba dabba!" (abra cadabra). . .
