It's a Family Tradition

Every year on the fourth Sunday of March, my mom's side of the family has a reunion in Wallace, NC. This is an annual tradition that has been going on for well over 50 years. We usually don't miss a reunion, but I've missed the past two. Two years ago on that date, Maggie and I were coming home from the hospital after her birth, and last year we were at the beach celebrating Brendon's father's birthday. So, we were excited to go back to the reunion this year since it would be Maggie's first trip there. She had so much fun that she hardly sat down to eat! (I definitely made time to eat- there was chicken & pastry, creamed style corn, and okra- oh my!) Maggie had a blast playing with cousins she knows well (Andi & Zeke), and meeting distant cousins for the first time. Click here to see the pictures.
