Mini-Maggie

I've always liked matching my clothes to what Maggie is wearing. Now she's matching her baby doll! Last week Memo and Pa took her to the mall and bought her several matching outfits for her and her baby, Noel.

She got so many compliments on her outfits at church. Speaking of church, every week we give Maggie the opportunity to go to the front of the church for Children's Time, which is led by the pastor. She never wants to go, but she likes to watch the kids. Today, however, Maggie decided she wanted to go! Usually, when kids Maggie's age (and even older) go up, their parents walk them up the aisle and sit with or near them (some for months or a year!). Not Maggie! She walked confidantly up the long aisle (we sit near the back!) by herself, sat at the front of the church with elementary-age children, and listened to the pastor's talk. Maggie even copied the other children and knelt at the altar and said a prayer with the pastor. The part that upset her was when the pastor invited her by name to join the group at the end to say, "Praise God!" I guess she didn't like the individual attention, so she ran back down the aisle to us. We were SO proud of her for bravely trying something new! She missed getting her treat at the end of Children's Time, so one of her friends brought it to her. Maggie is really growing up and has shown so much independence lately.

I hope February will be a better month for us than January . . . we've each been sick at least once this month! Hopefully I'll be able to blog more frequently if we all stay well.

What a brave little girl! I know you are both very proud of her. Sorry to hear you all have been sick. Hope everyone is feeling better now. Love the pictures and the outfits.
