It's so hard to believe that this pregnancy is half-way over! I'm sure the second half will seem to move slower than the first.
About four weeks ago, I felt the baby's movements for the first time. In the last two weeks, his movements can be felt from the outside. It's always so reassuring to feel them and know that everything's okay.
Maggie is so caring for her little brother already. When we go shopping, she always wants to get something for him. At the shoe store she really wanted to pick out shoes for him, but I talked her into getting a onesie for him instead at Wal-mart!
Maggie's concerned about how I'll handle two kids (me, too)! She told me, "Mama, if you don't have time, you can go upstairs and do laundry, and I'll feed the baby. If I don't have time, then I'll do laundry and you feed the baby." She has also told me that she'll help with wet diapers, but not stinky ones! She's also excited about him having a car seat right beside hers.
The nursery is slowly turning into a boy's room. I've moved most of Maggie's dresses and shoes out of that closet and into her big girl room closet. I've also moved a toy truck, bus, and boat into his room. There's still a lot of pink to move out! Today I ordered his crib bedding, and I can't wait for it to arrive (although it will be bittersweet to take off Maggie's crib bedding)!
According to the website Baby Center, "Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel- the length of a banana." No wonder my belly is expanding and his kicks are getting more powerful!
