We're nearing the end of April, and I'm just now updating about what we did in March! It was a busy month (as usual). Here are the highlights:
- Maggie turned 3! She keeps me laughing, so I've pretty much stopped writing down the cute things she says. I just can't get to the pen and paper fast enough. Here are her beautiful pics:
- Maggie can write the letter "H", count to 14, and identify (by sight) the number "12".
- Maggie started in the "big girl" gymnastics class (3 & 4 year olds). What I was worried about- her separating from me- was not a problem. She sat down with her classmates and teachers and followed directions while I watched from the sidelines. There were a few melt-downs during that first session, but as soon as I communicated her fears to the teachers (and then she learned how to tell them what was wrong), the following sessions were much better (as long as she's rested and feeling okay!). Maggie and I also went to Chapel Hill one Saturday to watch a UNC women's gymnastics meet. She enjoyed everything except the noise of the crowd!
- Maggie and her friends celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday at story time, and she got to meet the Cat in the Hat! The group, including Maggie and her cousin Andi, were pictured on the front page of our local newspaper the next day.
- We attended my high school alma mater's spring musical, "Beauty and the Beast". Maggie did very well watching the play, as it didn't start until 7 p.m. and lasted over 2 hours!
- We celebrated several other family birthdays: Pa (Brendon's dad), Brendon's brother Bobby, and our nephew Nathan. Maggie spent the night with Memo & Pa for Pa's birthday.
- We traveled to Wallace, NC for the annual Benton reunion, where Maggie enjoyed playing with all of her cousins.
