Whatcha Doin'?

This is one of Maggie's favorite expressions now! She often asks us, "Whatcha doin', Mama?", "Whatcha doin', Da-da?", and even "Whatcha doin', Biscuit?" In the following video Maggie, dressed as Cinderella (a frequent activity lately), pretends to talk on the phone to her Uncle Jason, cousins Andi & Zeke, and Grandma. You can hear her asking them what they're doing. (Earlier tonight when she "called" them, she said their phone number was "8, 9, 10, 11.")

We got some snow today, but certainly weren't snowed in. Unfortunately, Maggie's gymnastics class was canceled, so we decided to cook a simple dish: personal pizzas. Maggie liked spreading on the sauce, sprinkling the cheese, and then eating the cheese off the pizzas before I could get them in the oven!

This activity reminds me of a rhyme we learned at our local library's story time last year:

Pat-a-cake,
Pat-a-cake,
Pizza man
Make me a pizza as fast as you can.
Roll it, and toss it,
and sprinkle it with cheese.
Put it in the oven,
Pizza, please!
