Maggie has talked about space a lot since our recent visit to the planetarium. A few nights ago Maggie covered one of her bath Barbie dolls in bubbles and said Barbie was an astronaut!
While swinging in her swing last week, she told me she wanted to swing to the moon. I told her that she'd have to catch her food because it would be floating around her! I pretended to throw her food, which she "caught" in her mouth. In the movie we saw at the planetarium, the astronauts threw M&Ms to each other in the space shuttle and caught them with their mouths. I think this was Maggie's favorite part!
During bath time that night, she asked me, "Where's Mars?" Brendon drew a diagram of the solar system for her, which she was very interested in because of the sun and circles!
Just before bedtime she noticed that it was getting dark outside. She told me, "In the dark . . . there's planets . . . and rocket ships." Maggie's mind is always on- even if her (selective) "listening ears" aren't!
