Last week Maggie also played bank. We put a dollar and some coins in a clear, cylindrical plastic container and I pretended to send it to Maggie, who was the bank teller. Then she drove her little pink car to the pretend gas station, where she pumped her gas, scanned her credit card, and put air in her tires. Next she said she had a broken tire! She became a mechanic and fixed her tire, then built a house! She's a jack of all trades!

Jack of All Trades
Recently Maggie's pretend play has focused on different jobs in the community. Here is a video of Maggie and Zeke playing grocery store. Zeke is the cashier, and Maggie is showing him how to "scan" the groceries. Maggie loves to scan her plastic credit cards (from junk mail) in an old keyboard we gave her. She even tries to scan my credit card at Food Lion and Wal-mart! After I stopped recording the video below, Maggie turned to my dad and said, "Granddaddy, I need your credit card!" I'm sure he'll hear that from her more in about 10-15 years!

Maggie and Zeke are so cute playing together. Zeke was enjoying what looked like a box of raisins! They are really having a nice summer.
